Portland Headlight is likely the most photographed lighthouse in the world, and I'm am certainly partly responsible for this. In the summer I come to this park 2-3 times per week with couples, families and sometimes for a wedding too. One of my favorite "wow" shots to get is this one with the couple at sunset standing on the big wedge rock on the beach just below the lighthouse. Portland Headlight is up on the cliff in the distance the the couple is highlighted by an orange gelled flash illuminating them. Sometime there is a mist or fog, sometimes the water below is crashing over the rocks, sometimes the clouds in the sky are on fire with light; you never know what mother nature will give us to work with.
