An engagement photo session with a sweet addition! Meet Sarah and Chris with their adorably cute son. He joined us early for some family shots with mommy and daddy then headed off to bed as we headed off to the beach in Kennebunk Port. The light was perfect at the beach and then headed off to a field I spotted on the way down. I knew if we hit it right the light would be perfect! It took a bit of convincing but we went into the tall grass nailed the shots and wrapped up the shoot. Enjoy the images!

Meet Lindsay and Danny. recently engaged and soon to be married this summer at Fort Williams. What a fun couple and I can’t wait for their wedding day!! It’s nice to get some variety in an engagement session so we met at the Old Port for some brick and cobblestone before we set off to Bug Light for a sunset. It didn’t take long this couple to shake off “the weird feeling of being photographed” as their fun, spirited personalities and chemistry quickly shined through. I just love their dog too! It’s like he had practiced all week posing and looking his best for the shoot. Enjoy the images:
I met Alena and Ben last week on a perfect evening at Fort Williams for their engagement photo session. Recently engaged and soon to be wed, will be having a destination wedding on the lovely island of Jamaica this coming winter! Often in photo session I’m in some sort of creative mode where my mind is posing, moving, suggesting, and yapping all at the same time to get the couple into great light, having fun and getting the camera set. Unfortunately this time I got everything right except Ben’s name. Yup, I called him Matt for the first 25 minutes of the session! Thank goodness Ben didn’t mind and Alena found it really funny and the whole thing worked out great. Although.. I don’t really recommend this technique Enjoy the images!
Engagement shoot and tour of the town all in one! Maybe that will be my new deal to out of state couples looking to see Maine on a romantic getaways. It was a blast! Vic and Stasha came all the way from Texas for a romantic break at the lovely Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth and a classic New England inspired photo shoot. They had all the time in the world and I was thrilled to have such a good looking, fashionable couple with great chemistry before me. So… the epic engagement shoot began as I drove them to all my favorite spots. Here is our start at Fort Williams (naturally):
And we ended with a ring!
They’ve got a wedding coming up real soon! Meet Mal and Levi - We met near Spirwink Farm in Cape Elizabeth for the photo shoot one lovely morning last fall. Mal needed some great shots for their “save the date” and since Levi is a Firefighter we just had to somehow incorporate the use of his truck. I don’t know if Scarborough FD would be happy to let us borrow it for a bit next year for some anniversary shot. We’ll see Here’s some of my favorites from the session.
I met Erin and Nick on one freezing day a couple weeks ago. I must have been the first bit of snow here in Portland, Maine. We met at a local coffee place for a chat about their wedding in 2013. It was exciting to chat and meet and show off my wares. The hot cafe Americano was lovely too! Initially Erin wasn’t interested in doing an engagement or rather casual shoot but I brought my camera just in case and as you can see we got some amazing shots of just them. In just 10 minutes my fingers were frozen and we called it a wrap. I’m so glad we got these shots. They are beautiful.
I think my fingers have finally now thawed out! This was one cold session and I’m glad we did it because these images are awesome. Meet Megan and Doug, recently engaged and soon to be married in just one year. You would never know that it was about ZERO degrees… but the sun was out and Megan and Doug were troopers. I still can’t believe that Megan spelled out her wedding date with her finger in that freezing sand. It hurt just watching her! I’m pretty sure it will be warmer for them next Feb!!
