Up in the hills of Brownfield, Maine is a hidden gem called the Stone Mountain Arts Center. Elizabeth and Alex fell in love with it as soon as they saw it and at that moment began planning their big day. I was lucky enough to be chosen as their photographer for such a lovely event. It was a perfect early summer day in Maine with full sun, a slight breeze and crisp air. We were off the grid in the mountains of southern Maine and every view looked like a post card. The canvas was in place for some real magic to be made.
The day began in Fryberg at the Oxford House Inn as a private location for the bridal party to get ready and excited for the day to come. Her dad was in one of the guest rooms fine tuning his speech while mom and the bridesmaids were prepping and enjoying the moment with a bit of Campaign. Expressions and emotions were in high gear as Elizabeth and her dad shared a first look and then proceeded to the beautiful lawns overlooking the mountains in the distance for bridal photos.
Back to the Stone Mountain Arts Center Alex and the guys were shooting pool and enjoying various beverages in the green room which is basically a hangout room for rock stars prior to show time. Guests started arriving and Elizabeth was soon to make her appearance. The ceremony took place in a grand wood timber music hall nestled between a restored barn and a 200 year old farm house. The property was full of character with ambiance galore, a perfect stage for Alex and Elizabeth to celebrate their union together. I think these images speak for themselves… just look at these images!
