Up in the hills of Brownfield, Maine is a hidden gem called the Stone Mountain Arts Center. Elizabeth and Alex fell in love with it as soon as they saw it and at that moment began planning their big day. I was lucky enough to be chosen as their photographer for such a lovely event. It was a perfect early summer day in Maine with full sun, a slight breeze and crisp air. We were off the grid in the mountains of southern Maine and every view looked like a post card. The canvas was in place for some real magic to be made.

The day began in Fryberg at the Oxford House Inn as a private location for the bridal party to get ready and excited for the day to come. Her dad was in one of the guest rooms fine tuning his speech while mom and the bridesmaids were prepping and enjoying the moment with a bit of Campaign. Expressions and emotions were in high gear as Elizabeth and her dad shared a first look and then proceeded to the beautiful lawns overlooking the mountains in the distance for bridal photos.

Back to the Stone Mountain Arts Center Alex and the guys were shooting pool and enjoying various beverages in the green room which is basically a hangout room for rock stars prior to show time. Guests started arriving and Elizabeth was soon to make her appearance. The ceremony took place in a grand wood timber music hall nestled between a restored barn and a 200 year old farm house. The property was full of character with ambiance galore, a perfect stage for Alex and Elizabeth to celebrate their union together. I think these images speak for themselves… just look at these images!

Lindsay and Danny’s day began at the Portland Country Club with gorgeous views of the rolling green lawns abutting the crisp blue ocean water. They day could of not have been a more beautiful August day here in Maine. The ceremony took place at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth on the top of the cliff walk overlooking Portland Harbor. Lindsay organized the day perfectly with wedding limos, one pimped out stretch SUV for the guys (their dog included!) and a more elegant and traditional ride for the ladies. It was a quick ceremony at Fort Williams followed by some major greeting and congratulations from all the guests. Then it was time break out the fizz back at the Portland C.C. as Lindsay and Danny took to the floor and got the party started.

This was such a beautiful wedding, fantastic couple, great venue and plenty of fun and laughter all night long. There was even a dance off, Zoolander style toward the end! Love that kind of stuff 😉 Thank you for having me along to photograph your beautiful day!

A dream wedding by the sea in Maine. This was the story of Whitney and Thomas at the Inn by the Sea on July 26th 2014. Incredibly, Whitney crafted every aspect of this beautiful day from over 3000 miles away in her home in California. Now that’s impressive! It was a crisp day with full sun and with a slight sea breeze. The gentlemen were gathering at the main entrance of the inn while the girls were having a prepping party in Whitney’s room. The day quickly unfolded as Whitney and Thomas made their vows on the lawns of the Inn by the Sea under a canopy of blue sky and open ocean surrounded by their loved ones. A cocktail party of games and laughter brought in an evening of amazing food, dancing, photos, and lots of fun and love. Whitney and Thomas become one and they united their families from far away places to share in their special day. And what a day it was!

An engagement photo session with a sweet addition! Meet Sarah and Chris with their adorably cute son. He joined us early for some family shots with mommy and daddy then headed off to bed as we headed off to the beach in Kennebunk Port. The light was perfect at the beach and then headed off to a field I spotted on the way down. I knew if we hit it right the light would be perfect! It took a bit of convincing but we went into the tall grass nailed the shots and wrapped up the shoot. Enjoy the images!

Meet Lindsay and Danny. recently engaged and soon to be married this summer at Fort Williams. What a fun couple and I can’t wait for their wedding day!! It’s nice to get some variety in an engagement session so we met at the Old Port for some brick and cobblestone before we set off to Bug Light for a sunset. It didn’t take long this couple to shake off “the weird feeling of being photographed” as their fun, spirited personalities and chemistry quickly shined through. I just love their dog too! It’s like he had practiced all week posing and looking his best for the shoot. Enjoy the images:
